THE ENLIGHTCO TECHNOLOGY
As an alternative to conventional light sources the Enlightco technology (ELT) was developed. Conventional light sources (e.g. LED’s, light tubes or comparable) have the disadvantage that only a small part of the “invested” energy is transferred to light. A huge part of this energy is transferred into heat. ELT is developed in a way to transfer more than 92% of the energy into light. This causes nearly no warming of the products.
THE NEW TECHNOLOGY
The Enlightco Technology (ELT) is based on multiple layer coating system. Through the right order of multiple layers, an electric field is generated – electrical energy is transferred into light. Without support by further constructions the Enlightco Technology may be applied on nearly every product in order to illuminate or back light it. Plastic, Textile, Wood, Stone, Metal, Concrete, Glass and many others can be used as surface lighted. ELT can be applied either directly as a paint onto the surface needing illumination, or as an adhesive sticker or vinyl. To apply ELT several industrial procedures like spraying, printing or others can be used. To deliver the required voltage and frequency for the Enlightco Technology a power source is needed, which is via an inverter and can be from 1,5V-24VDC to 360 AC.
HOW IT WORKS
This procedure of putting the e- to a higher energy level and let it fall down can be repeated endless, which means our technology would last never ending. Due to the reason, that the valence electrons, which are used to “produce” the light, normally are involved in every chemical reaction,
the Enlightco technology has a limited lifetime. The valence electrons in chemical bindings with other valence electrons are no longer useable to “produce” light. To enable them “working” for a longer period of time a special paste system was developed by Enlightco – known as AMADINUS.
Depending on the type of application the Enlightco Technology has an energy need of about 49 VA/m² at 20°C and 60% humidity. The power consumption of the Enlightco Technology is about 30% less than conventional light technologies. It is due to our new technology which produces no heating – approximately 92% of the energy is converted into light.
THICKNESS OF ELT
The final application thickness of our light is about 45 μm thick and one of the biggest advantages of the Enlightco Technology.
DURABILITY AND OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
One advantages of the Enlightco Technology is that it outperforms other lighting systems in being able to operate in extreme conditions. It is usable from +80˚C down to -60˚C. The Enlightco Technology has therefore the widest temperature range of any lighting system, which is shown on the graph (right hand side). Our light technology is visible in the lowest of light environments as well as in low visibility environments (in fog, smoke, etc.). Enlightcos light paint is hard very resistant too, being vandal, vibration, scratch and acid proof. It can also withstand extreme forces and weights, making it ideal for road and floor use. With our light paint we created a new technology that is non-hazardous, non-flammable, energy saving in comparison to any other lights and not harmful to the environment in any way (REACH conform).
LIFESPAN OF ELT
The minimum lifetime usage is 37,000 hours – equivalent to (+) 10 years usage if utilised 10 hours per day. The lifespan is dependent on brightness, application, usage and environment. For example the lifespan doubles when our system will be used as flashing light. To have the exact lifetime for our light used in your project, please speak to our sales or technical team. Our basic paint colour is white, which is available in cold, neutral and warm white. In addition we produce the light paint in blue, green and orange.
The light can be enhanced with the use of sound, light and movement sensors. The brightness can be altered with the use of a resistor. In addition, the light can be used as on constantly. In contrast to other light systems our light loves to get switched off and on repeatedly. The reason therefore is that the valence electrons can go back to their starting position and recover when the light is off. So, Enlightcos light is perfect for flashing light solutions. Further all every today existing electronics at the market can.
The Enlightco light can shine almost in every colour, pattern or material that exists – without thick back-lighting boxes. This can be done by coating the wanted colour direct onto the light, concealing the light with printed pictures or covering it with div. materials, which are translucent or thin enough.
Enlightco does not provide the fitting service of the light but will provide full installation instructions and support. For every costumer a training about how to use, install and work with our light system will be provide from our technical team.
Enlightco’s technology is a “Lambertian radiator”, which means our light is non-directional, in all angles our light looks uniform and constant.
LAGRE ILLUMINATED AREA
Currently we are able to produce up to 1500mm x 2800mm as single segment (Flat Production). Our aim is to have no limitations in size and we are constantly trying to implement this.
The Enlightco Light System has a extremely low maintenance after it was installed.
The new technology is also “single frequency monochromatic” light, which is aesthetically pleasing to the human eye due to its narrow bandwidth. This is the reason why it also performs better in low visibility environments (such as smoke or fog) and better than other light forms from a distance.
The Enlightco Light System is subsequent processable. This means it can be bent post application as well as cutted and drilled.
HAZARD AND TOXIC
There are no hazard and/or toxic ingredients within the Enlightco System (REACH conform) and therefore it is one of the greenest light technologies in the world.
